BIE 2009 AWARD WINNING REMODEL

Our clients contacted us to disucss a three-season room addition to complement and fit in with their existing pool. After much discussion and many ideas we came up with a plan to add the room and enhance the entire back of the house.

Eventually it became "The Tuscan Room" with many features of the Italian countryside:
- arched window openings and doorway with hand crafted shutters and entry door finished in a rich dar color
- tile floor
- round columns
- wall color reminiscent of the color seen in the Tuscan Hills of Italy

The structure is fully open on one side and has a view of the pool, the fire pit, the bar and the smoking room. The structure presented us with a few challenges but our crew was able to solve all of them.

Whole House Remodel

This project won the 2008 Building Industries Exchange Craftsmanship Award for Residential Addition/Expansion - Whole House Remodel Project between $250,000 and $300,000.

The project consisted of improving and modernizing the outdated kitchen, family room, powder room, living room, music room, and the master bed and bath.  This included extending the master bathroom overtop of the garage to gain space, creating a second floor bumpout.  A new roof was also installed, new siding, new shutters, and a new patio in the back yard.

New Kitchen

This project won the 2007 Building Industries Exchange Craftsmanship Award for Residential Kitchen  Project between $70,000 and $79,999.

With this new kitchen project, we replaced the client's entire kitchen.  New appliances, cabinets, countertops, recessed ceiling lights, and flooring completely revitalized the kitchen.  The living room was transformed to a formal dining room, utilizing the same flooring as in the kitchen.  The whole project was accomplished without changing the existing footprint of the rooms.

Whole House Remodel

This project earned Meritorious Recognition for the 2006 Building Industries Exchange Craftsmanship Award

Existing layout of the client's house did not make good use of the space they had.  By relocating walls, ceilings, windows, doors, openings, and the basement stairs, it was possible to give the house a very good flow as well as improved curb appeal.  Changes such as a new kitchen, a vaulted ceiling great room with French doors out to a new deck, a relocated living room, and a new roof with new gutters and downspouts really gave our newly retired clients what they envisioned.

FINISHED BASEMENT/HOME THEATER

This project won the 2006 Remodeling News Best Theater/Entertainment Room (article in the May 2007 Issue), as well as 2006 Pottstown Building Industries Exchange Residential Specialty Trade Project Over $50,000 award .

We started this project with a totally unfinished basement and ended with a modern, eclectic, mirrored basement.  We used copper and circle aluminum on the bar and metallic copper, metallic silver, and pearl finish paint on the wall to make the end result quite spectacular.
Some of the amenities of this new basement include a theater room with movie screen, theater seating, bar, movie lighting, and copper walls; an exercise room, a very unique S-shaped bar with a satin copper top and base laminated with circles aluminum, curved walls, and a powder room with black marble floor and a black vanity.
